Citizens Church is a reconciled people who now belong to God, proclaiming hope to those far from God. Their desire is to see the people of West Gastonia brought near to God through the faithful proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. West Gastonia is a community of more than 50,000 people, many of whom are living without the hope of the gospel.

When Citizens considers the spiritual direction of its neighbors, their hearts ache, out of deep love and concern. We believe that apart from Christ, people remain separated from God, and this reality compels us to share the good news of Jesus with urgency and compassion.

Located in Gaston County on the west side of Charlotte, West Gastonia is a diverse and growing community, yet there are very few healthy churches intentionally seeking to preach Christ and shepherd this area. Alongside this spiritual need, signs of physical and relational brokenness are evident throughout the community.Citizens Church longs to be a faithful presence in West Gastonia; loving our neighbors, proclaiming Jesus, and trusting God to bring renewal through His gospel.
